Beavers!…..you get the win, congratulations!!!…..Go Beavs!!! All we get is the #3 Pac 10 Bowl…and the $$$$$........$1.900,000….love it……. but then the Beavs ‘Math’ seems to say $750000 and the lower, #4 Bowl, think its called the Emerald…not sure…..again mighty Maryland…. a 6-6 team with 2 conference wins…..is a better deal!........Go figure! Ps…you also have the bragging rights that a 5th string QB…not our #4, or #3, or #2 or #1 QB hung 31pts on the mighty Beavs “D”…..that’s right…. a #5, Freshman QB playing in his first college game took the Beavs to 2 OT’s …and had a chance to beat them in regulation!…..again, a quality win.. Go Beavs!!! Just show us the money!!!!...............$1,900,000

Bragging Rights

Beavers!!! Sun Bowl….#3 PAC 10 Bowl Game…..we got it, we earned it, we have the respect needed to receive it!!!…. Beavs could have been chosen, but the Sun Bowl committee didn’t want them!!!!! They pass on them…… So….The Beavs ended up with #4 Conference Bowl…….the lower payout Bowl…..nothing to be ashamed of. You should be proud of your team! As I have told my Beaver friends….I agree…you get bragging rights with the Civil War win over our 5th string freshman QB (his first college game!)…that should make you all feel great!...wonderful accomplishment!!!!!……Go Beavs!!!!!!!!!.... Unfortunately for us Ducks….we are only left with bragging rights over…. ---#2 ranking this year, only 3 weeks ago ---TOP 10 in the Polls most of the year --- 2 Game Days in Eugene to the Beavs…’never’ ---a better #3 Sun Bowl vs #4 Emerald Bowl ---wins over Top 5 programs….USC. ASU, Michigan on the road ---$1.9M payout….vs a $.75M payout ---Leading Heisman Candidate..most of the year…. ---shot at the Championship Game just 3 weeks ago, prior to injuries ---56-14…larger win in Civil War history ---55-46 most wins in the 111th Civil War games…. ---Highest ranking ever in 2001 for an Oregon Football team at #2 in the Nation! Let’s see….The Choice is….. 1---lose a game with a 5th String QB, his first full game in College (he almost beat the mighty Beavs , but in 2 OT’s they finally beat the Freshman!!!)…..OR….. 2—Have a season with ALL the things listed above… Wow, hard to figure this one out…..No Brainer!!! What a wonderful year, unfortunately interrupted by injuries, or most likely by all accounts… The Ducks would be playing in the BSC Championship Game!!! Bummed, not at all…..huge year it has been!...A Great, Fun program to be a part of!!....now on to Basketball with our Top 15th ranking and 6-1 record so far…. Another Elite 8? Final 4?... Time will tell!! Go Ducks!
